BitStick - Fully Assembled Nintendo 64 Controller with Metal Bowl and/or Stick

All BitStick products use a polished metal bowl for the N64 joystick to move against creating a smooth, accurate and durable stick module. The original N64 controllers have a plastic bowl instead, which is one of the main parts that can wear out over time.

This product page is for full controllers (no assembly required). This is the BitStick Metal Bowl Beta Edition in a cleaned and customised Nintendo 64 Controller - a fully assembled N64 controller with fresh button membranes and new controller stick gears. Controller colour will be chosen at random from those we have available.

The controller shell has been thoroughly cleaned and new button pads have been installed. As we refurbish secondhand controllers, there are sometimes marks or discoloration that cannot be removed. Choice - Stick Type (Plastic or Metal)

In all options, the controller will have a metal bowl. As the stick is the most expensive component to produce in metal, we've given a plastic option for a cheaper alternative. Both metal and plastic sticks feel roughly the same to play, so this choice is mainly aesthetic. See pictures for stick comparisons - the metal stick has a silver shaft and a screw on top, while the plastic stick is all black with no screw. The metal stick may be more durable over time, but it may also cause more wear on the other plastic parts in the stick module, such as the gears and gate (more long term testing is needed). Be sure to pick carefully as the price varies quite a bit between them. When you pick a variant the top image on the page should change to reflect that choice.

For those experienced at disassembling N64 controllers there is also the option to separately purchase the Control Stick Module and install them into your own controllers. This is on a seperate product page on this website.

As a Beta Edition this version of the BitStick Bowl is currently being tested for long term performance and feedback will be used to update the design and manufacturing process for future versions. As we update the design, the product may look visually different from the pictures. Any changes like this are always to move towards better performance.
